THE PREMISE

A shy transfer student arrives at a high school in Kyoto in the last spring before graduation. She joins the school's failing kendo club to stay invisible, but its fierce captain recognizes her fighting style: it belongs to the girl who vanished from the national championship final three years ago, the night the captain's older brother was badly hurt. She must decide whether to tell the truth about what happened in that final, while the club fights to survive its last tournament and the two girls grow closer than rivals should.
